ARAS Lab Launches YouTube Channel

ARAS Lab Launches YouTube Channel

I wanted to start a YouTube channel for our lab because, well, why not? πŸ™‚

On a serious note, I have three goals in mind for this channel:

First is to cultivate a media platform to communicate the exciting research that will come from our lab and also highlight the future accomplishments from our team.

Second is to provide mentoring (through sharing of knowledge and insights) to the next generation of scientists (high school, undergraduate, graduate, and postdoc trainees), who could be deciding on an academic career in the future.

Lastly, I’d like to create video journal of sorts to track the lab’s evolution from the present humble beginnings to hopefully a thriving and successful lab in the future. I’d like to invite you to experience that journey with us.

We are planning on releasing one video content each week (every Monday around Noon). Stay tuned πŸ™‚

There is lots to do to get the lab up and running, but the excitement is real πŸ™‚

We will have amazing facilities for future post-docs, graduate and undergraduate students. If interested in our research, feel free to reach out to me at aras (at) buffalo.edu.

ARAS Lab is officially open!!

The CArdiac ARrhythmiAs and ObeSity Research Lab (ARAS Lab), officially opened doors on November 1, 2022 at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical SciencesSUNY Buffalo, in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics.

We study the dynamic interaction between fat and the cardiac tissue at molecular, cellular, tissue, whole organ, and system scale under physiological and pathological conditions (e.g., obesity mediated arrhythmias). If you are interested in joining the team, please reach out to me at aras (at) buffalo.edu. Let’s do great science together and have fun along the way!!
