Katalists Launched

Katalists is envisioned to be a thriving ecosystem for the scientific community that includes graduate students, research scientists, research professors and broadly anyone interested in a career in scientific research. The goal is to provide a platform for the members of the community to, connect and interact with people they need and who can help, discover the resources available to advance their research and last but not the least transform their professional careers through networking, learning and contribution.

This podcast series is the first step and geared towards translating that goal into reality. I will have the privilege to participate in one on one informal conversations with distinguished scientists and research professors as they share their experiences, stories and insights into what it takes to build a successful research career.

You should also be able to search for the latest episodes on Apple Podcast,  Google Podcast,  Spotify,  Amazon Music, and others using the key word: Katalists

Research Paper published

My research paper titled – Sensitivity of epicardial electrical markers to acute ischemia detection was accepted for publishing in the peer-reviewed journal – Journal of Electrocardiology. The article will be available in print, in the December 2014 issue of the journal.

Briefly, the research focuses on the electrical behavior of the heart during ischemic conditions, which is a precursor to myocardial infarction (heart attack). Specifically, the study evaluated different electrical markers and their ability to detect early onset of acute myocardial ischemia. The  paper reported the findings from the study and can be accessed here.
